The late great, Tupac has gone viral on Tik Tok recently. Classic hit, ‘How Do You Want It’ featuring K-Ci and JoJo has become a trending sound on Tik Tok. The young Gen Xs have created a Tupac dance challenge to the song.
There’s a specific moment that sparked a trend when Tupac said “I love the way you activate ya hips and push ya a*s out. Got a n-**a wantin it so bad I’m bad I’m ‘bout to pass out.” The catchy rhythm and Tupac’s laid-back vibe make it a perfect soundtrack for the challenge, which has sparked a lot of fun energy online.
However, not everyone is feeling the challenge. Some fans of Pac believe he wouldn’t be a fan of what’s happening with his music today, especially when it comes to how his songs are being used for viral trends. Tupac was known for his deep messages, social activism, and serious themes in his music. Some people feel like he’d be disappointed to see his legacy reduced to a dance trend, with little connection to the powerful messages he pushed in his lyrics.
