Man Killed, Another Injured After Car Slams Into Trees in Chesterfield
A single vehicle crash late Sunday night (Jan 4) in Chesterfield left one man dead and another person hospitalized, according to authorities.
The Chesterfield County Police Department said officers were called to the 11600 block of Old Stage Road at approximately 8:51 p.m. on January 4 after reports of a crash. When police arrived, they found a vehicle that had left the roadway and come to rest off the side of the road after striking multiple trees.
Investigators said the impact caused the driver to be ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. A second occupant was also taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were described as non life threatening.
